The Authority on Cow Horse Saddles

The Reined Cow Horse SaddleBuilt for Two Arenas. Engineered for Both.

A reined cow horse saddle doesn't just carry a rider — it positions them for reining patterns, fence runs, and boxing cattle. It's a more demanding brief than either discipline alone, and the saddle has to answer for all of it.

Three Events. One Saddle.

NRCHA competition demands that horse and rider excel in reining, fence work, and cow work — often on the same day. The cow horse saddle is engineered to support all three without compromise.

🔄

Reining Pattern Work

Spins, lead changes, rundowns, and sliding stops require the same flat-seated, close-contact geometry as a dedicated reining saddle. The cow horse build doesn't sacrifice that feel.

🐄

Fence & Cow Work

Boxing a cow and working the fence puts lateral and forward forces on the saddle that reining never encounters. A slightly more forward balance point and stronger rigging position handle that demand.

⚖️

The Balancing Act

Where the reining saddle is specialized to perfection, the cow horse saddle is engineered for versatility. It must not lock the rider in for patterns, yet must brace them for cattle.
